Opened in September 2020, the Rainforest Habitat is home to some of the region’s most colourful and captivating residents. Look out for the magnificent southern cassowary, a remarkable bird species known for its vivid blue neck, vibrant red wattles, and striking black feathers. These birds are endemic to Tropical North Queensland and symbolise the region’s unique biodiversity.
Eclectus Parrot and Rainbow Lorikeet
Among the stunning inhabitants of this habitat are the vibrant Eclectus Parrot and the mesmerizing Rainbow Lorikeet. These colourful birds add to the visual splendour of the rainforest exhibit.

Are you looking for a private ‘behind the scenes’ wildlife tour? YOUR Wildlife Habitat is certainly the perfect way to make the most of your day. This private tour lasts for two hours. This will give you a chance to interact privately with Australian animals.
